An accountant by training but a translator by choice, my transition from numbers to language was driven by a lifelong passion for the written word. With a deep immersion in English since early childhood, and extensive education across three continents – including a government scholarship to Sydney Girls’ High School in Australia and an Accounting degree from the University of West London (formerly Ealing College of Higher Education), my English proficiency is completely native alongside my mother tongue, Bahasa Melayu.
Before dedicating myself fully to translation, I spent 15 years in the corporate sector working as an Internal Auditor, Project Accountant, and Financial Controller. This extensive background provides me with a rare advantage in the translation industry: a firm, practical grasp of corporate operations, financial terminology, and business procedures.
My auditor’s discipline directly informs my translation methodology. I am fastidious about grammar and insist on culturally resonant, natural phrasing rather than literal translations. I deliver texts that are accurate, eloquent, and perfectly tailored to the target audience, with a strict, non-negotiable commitment to quality and deadlines.
